A survey report on international trends in Open Access by the National Institute of Informatics (NII) has been published

Since fiscal year 2022, the National Institute of Informatics (NII) has been implementing the project ” Developing a Research Data Ecosystem for the Promotion of Data-Driven Science”, aiming to enhance the functionality and expand the nationwide adoption of the NII Research Data Cloud (NII RDC).

As part of this initiative in fiscal year 2024, NII established a research project focused on Open Access policy studies. One of the outcomes of this project is a newly published report based on a literature review of Open Access policies and developments in the G7 countries (excluding Japan and Italy), the EU, Australia, Brazil, and India.
